Cory Arcangel's "Sorry I haven't posted" mocks self-conscious bloggers, provides convenient post topic

Read about this in the New Yorker’s profile of electronic media artist Cory Arcangel (abstract only, full article is behind the paywall). Arcangel has a little side project—a blog full of posts from other peoples’ blogs where they apologize for not posting frequently enough. Any blogger who needs help remembering what a narcissistic endeavor we’re engaged in would do well to bookmark it. Some excerpts:

“I didn’t write an update about our meeting last Thursday night with the priest because I had to sort out my feelings first.”

“Sorry I haven’t posted anything in a while. I have been so busy with school and work. But in my spare time I have been working on my Megan Fox sim. I am pretty happy with her so far.”

“Sorry I haven’t posted in a while but I was busy! So, I will post this afternoon, so look forward to that.”

Oh, by the way, it seems that Arcangel hasn’t posted anything on this blog lately. I hope he’s sorry.
