Investing for verdicts

Wow, the implications, the twists and turns of this kinda blow my mind. Hedge funds, which often invest money for the super-rich, are loaning money to plaintiff’s lawyers to fund lawsuits against big corporations, which are often controlled by the super-rich. I’m seeing some conversations in the country club locker room that are, um, awkward.

This is what happens when you deny people who have stockpiles of cash lying around from investing in predatory mortgage lending, so we have only ourselves to blame.
